Free SAT/ACT Practice Test
The Learning Center, in partnership with the BHS PTSO, is offering a complete SAT or ACT practice exam-- plus an in-depth analysis of results -- all at no cost. The full length exam will be administered at the Learning Center. Results are available within 7 days -- including a full, comprehensive question-by-question analysis used to create an individualized admissions testing action plan.

Foundations of the SAT and ACT
The SAT and ACT demand a high-level mastery of the core academic curriculum. Solid math and literacy skills are at the heart of effective performance on the exam day. Separate classes are offered to provide improvement on both math and reading skills. The math session covers problem solving, algebra review, and geometry review. The reading session covers comprehension strategies, vocabulary, grammar, and writing structure review. Primarily for rising Juniors and Seniors.

Summer SAT MaxPrep Classes- August 24 SAT Exam
The SAT exam is now offered during the summer. This class is for seniors wanting to polish their scores before starting the fall college application process, and for Juniors seeking a head-start on the SAT. Summer really is an ideal time to prep for the SAT without the pressure of school and sports. Our two week immersion class incorporates daily instruction and targeted practice to establish simple strategies that students will actually use on test day. Each test section is taught by an instructor who is a specialist in the the disciplines of mathematics, reading, or writing.
July Class: 7/15 - 7/25 (Mon-Thurs, 10am-1pm)
August Class: 8/12-8/22 (Mon-Thurs, 10am-1pm)
(Both class sessions span 2 weeks for a total of 8 days)
Sessions: 24 hours of instruction & 8 hours rehearsal testing

College Admissions Essay Writing
College Admission Directors increasingly acknowledge the importance of the application essay. Summer before senior year is the ideal time to tackle the essay. Students work one-on-one with our Admissions Essay Specialists. First they create a “personal marketing analysis” to identify the essay’s “big idea.” Students are then guided through the drafting process to a submission-ready essay.

Mastering the PSAT
The PSAT starts the process of preparing for the full SAT. This exam mirrors the structure and content of the full SAT exam. This class offers sophomores and juniors a head start for their October exam.
Dates: July 7/22 - 7/25 or August 8/12 - 8/17
Sessions: 12 hours of instruction - Monday - Thursday 10am-1pm

Fall Course Previews
Designed to give students a jump start on their Fall courses, the program starts with a skills review to ensure a solid foundation. Instruction covers the actual course materials a student will encounter in September. This is a good way to extend prior knowledge base and build confidence for the school year ahead.

Sciences – Biology, Chemistry, Physics
Language – Spanish
